Savannah II

Savannah II is a jacket that is also inspired by the grasslands of Kenya and Tanzania -- only the jacket represents the colors of the grasslands during the summer. The summer's browns, yellows and rusts replace the greens, orchids and yellows of springtime represented in Savannah I.

The central panel of the jacket is knitted out of cotton handspun yarn -- only this time it is my handspun. The sleeves and side panels are hand dyed, handwoven fabric woven to match the "ikat" knitted fabric.
