Great summer suit out of gara from

Sierra Leone, West Africa.
Gara is made by tie-dye methods, primarily by women. Artisans have a vast vocabulary of designs and patterns, which they combine to create fabric with intricate designs -- making each piece of gara "one-of-a-kind."

Gara artisans are continuously introducing new textile designs. In response to growing popularity of batik, gara artisans have adapted batik dying techniques to gara production.

The results are exciting new textiles such as the fabric in the orange suit. Enjoy their work.
