"Speak to My Heart"

Documents, photos, and music explore the role of the black church in major American cities, including Washington, D.C. The exhibition explores the centrality of churches and how churches enrich the everyday lives of people.
Some of the African items used in this altar are clay pots from Burkina Faso and Botswana, Ghanaian Kente cloth and Mud cloth from Mali.
