Northern Ghana Jan.5-14 and Mali Jan.14-28

This tour has been set up so that you can participate in first segment to Northern Ghana or both segments by continuing with us to Mali 

ITINERARY:
Jan. 5 arrive in Ghana-meet at airport and escort to hotel
Jan. 6 day in Accra-capital of Ghana-for sightseeing
Jan. 7 early morning departure for northern Ghana
Jan. 8-13 Mole national park to track elephant-baboon and other animals Bolgatanga market-home of beautiful bolga baskets Sirigu-the women of Sirigu are famous for their decorative house painting and pottery skills-we will visit the chief and the women in their decorated mud houses and will be treated to a performance of traditional drum and dance Larabanga- 13th C. mud mosque said to be the oldest building in Ghana fetish shrine for traditional healing Wa-has historical significance as slave trade area Lobi-ethnic group famous for their sculpture also visit sacred crocodiles-hippos and other sites as time allows
Jan. 14 some people will return to Accra and departure from Ghana-others will continue to Mali-for those continuing to Mali we will drive through Burkina Faso and arrive in Mali on jan.16

Jan. 16-24
Bamako-capital of Mali -with special visits to craftspeople Segou-Mopti-Djenne:interesting for busy ports-mud architecture-outdoor markets-Niger river Dogon-famous for rituals and traditional beliefs-they live in cliff side villages which we will visit. Leave Mali and drive to Accra-one day in Accra for shopping-beach or more sightseeing
